It is a standalone Espressif development board, not an Arduino shield or Raspberry Pi HAT. It can be wired to other controllers or peripherals through GPIO, as long as your firmware, voltage levels, and interfaces are compatible.
Yes. The board includes preinstalled headers, so it can plug into breadboards and jumper wires without header soldering. You still need a suitable USB connection, power, and firmware tools for programming and testing.
ESP32-C6 GPIO uses 3.3 V logic and should not be driven directly by 5 V signals. Use a level shifter or other safe interface method when connecting 5 V Arduino-style modules or external circuits.
