A mono Class-D amplifier built on the Texas Instruments TPA3118D2 in PBTL (bridged) mode: 60 W RMS into 4 Ω or 30 W into 8 Ω at 24 V (10% THD), from any 4.5–24 V DC supply, with 2–8 Ω speakers. The line-level input (about 700 mV RMS sensitivity, ~10 kΩ impedance) covers 20 Hz–20 kHz within 3 dB, with over 100 dB SNR and 0.1% THD+N at 1 W. Idle draw is about 30 mA.

An onboard mute switch and over-current, over-temperature, DC and short-circuit protection make it forgiving on the bench. Use one board per subwoofer or two for stereo in powered speakers, soundbars, arcade cabinets and Raspberry Pi media players. Single or 2-pack.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. It can be used as the power amplifier stage in a Raspberry Pi media player or embedded audio project. The Raspberry Pi needs a suitable audio output or DAC feeding the amplifier, plus a separate speaker and amplifier power wiring.
ShillehTek supplies this module pre-soldered, so basic assembly work is reduced. You still need to connect an appropriate power source, audio input, and speaker, and mount it safely in your project enclosure if needed.
This is a mono Class D amplifier in PBTL configuration, intended to drive one speaker with up to 1x60W output under suitable conditions. It is not a stereo amplifier; stereo projects require two mono channels or a stereo amplifier board.
It is suited for DIY powered speakers, subwoofer builds, soundbars, arcade cabinets, and embedded audio systems. The single-channel design is especially practical when a project needs one higher-power speaker output rather than separate left and right channels.
The TPA3118 board is an amplifier, not a complete audio player or speaker system. If there is no sound, check the audio source, input wiring, amplifier power, speaker connection, and speaker suitability before replacing the module.
