Frequently asked questions

This card works with most low-frequency 125kHz RFID proximity readers that support the EM4100 format. It is not intended for NFC or 13.56MHz systems unless that reader specifically also supports 125kHz EM4100 cards.
No wiring or soldering is needed because this is a passive proximity card, not an electronic module. To use it, present it to an EM4100-compatible access system and enroll its ID according to that controller or reader’s instructions.
The card uses 125kHz low-frequency RFID with the EM4100 format and is powered wirelessly by the reader’s field. It has no pins, battery, or programmable interface; the reader detects the card’s stored identifier contactlessly.
It is suitable for access control projects such as office entry, apartment doors, parking gates, attendance systems, and DIY electronic locks. The white PVC surface can also accept printing or ID stickers for badge-style use.
Check that your system supports 125kHz EM4100 cards and that the card has been enrolled in the controller. If it is not detected, confirm the reader is not a 13.56MHz NFC reader and test at the reader face.
